As well as a gallery in Las Peñas, Guayaquil, the artist Quimbita has a gallery in Olon along the Ruta del Sol.
Tigua, near Quilotoa in Cotopaxi province, is famous for a simplistic, colourful style of painting and several galleries and workshops are open to visitors in the community.
There are a couple of shops in the Mall del Sol in Guayaquil and some in Cuenca, but the widest choice is definitely in Quito.
